farewell graphic

On January 31st, 2009 this website, www.wonderstrand.com, will cease operations. For the past eleven years we have worked on the development of the Labrador Virtual War Memorial. The Memorial pages have now been transferred to Them Days Magazine and have become a permanent part of their archives. For this we are grateful to the Board of Directors and staff of Them Days, and wish them continued success.

Unfortunately we were unable to find anyone to take over the pages on Labrador Cultural Symbols. This section was devised mainly to present to the public the correct specifications of the Flag of Labrador and the Labrador Coat of Arms, and the symbology incorporated therein. We had hoped that the publication of this information would result in the production of more accurate versions of the flag. To a certain degree we have been successful in this, but unfortunately some manufacturers are still ignoring the message. We had hoped to have some other organization take over these pages in order to keep them before the public. However, to this point there have been no takers.

To all of you who have lent your support, advice and assistance to this website I wish to say "Thank You". It has been a lot of fun, and a most gratifying endeavour.

Mike Martin, researcher, editor and webmaster.
